Assessment Overview: To become an ACA certified instructor you must satisfactorily complete both an Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) and an Instructor Certification Exam (ICE).
Below are the ACA links to the requirements for each level. It is highly recommended that all participants attend all five days of instruction since assessment is ongoing throughout the entire instructional period.
Cost: $640 which includes: 3 lunches, 1 camp potluck, a dinner and Divisional fees.

Greenland Style Paddle Making Workshop!
Saturday, May 10, 2014 9am – 5pm
Pavilion at Lake Sebago (ACA camp in Harriman State Park)
Chris Raab of Tuktu Paddles is going to conduct a Greenland style paddle-making workshop at the ACA camp located in Harriman State Park, on Saturday, May 10. Fee is $130 for ACA members and $135 for Non-ACA members which includes supplies and lunch. The workshop is limited to 15 people so please register quickly.

No special special skills are required to participate in this class, anyone can make a paddle. The workshop will be held outside so please dress appropriately.
What will be provided:
Instruction and guidance throughout the day. A cedar paddle blank (unless you have requested other materials) Tools as needed (if possible, please try to bring your own tools. A list will be submitted when you register).

This season, prior to May 1, our goal is to get at least one dock completed with 2 more docks to be rebuild before Memorial Day weekend, get the rental cabins cleaned and ready to be used, along with all the general maintenance that is always need to open the camp.
The only way all of this can get accomplished in such a timely manner is through our dedicated volunteers (this means you :) so please attempt to come into camp on the scheduled workdays even if it is only for a couple of hours. And enjoy the fresh air and the scenery.
