ACA Camp Closed for the season!

Join us in May of 2018 for another great season at the ACA encampment on Lake Sebago in Harriman State Park! The camp is only open to ACA members and is a great benefit of your membership, so please come and utilize the camp. It is a fabulous place to come just to relax. There are many docks to launch your boats off to paddle around the lake or practice paddling skills. We are in the middle of all the hiking trails so you can leave your car at the camp and go hiking, and we have a swimming area as well. There is a daily fee that our members must pay that helps us maintain the camp. There is a fully functioning bathroom with hot showers, which is a nice way to end any activity at camp. If you want to stay overnight at the camp, there are cabins you can rent as well as a tent site area. There are many activities planned in the camp throughout the paddling season (May 1-October 15) so please check out the camp’s Google site to find out all the needed information and event calendar.

Get Ready for Camp Workdays

This season, prior to May 1, our goal is to get at least one dock completed with 2 more docks to be rebuild before Memorial Day weekend, get the rental cabins cleaned and ready to be used, along with all the general maintenance that is always need to open the camp.

The only way all of this can get accomplished in such a timely manner is through our dedicated volunteers (this means you :) so please attempt to come into camp on the scheduled workdays even if it is only for a couple of hours. And enjoy the fresh air and the scenery.

Dates:  April 12th,   April 13th, April 26th and April 27th.

See Tom Ubel for your work assignment.
